I am an HCPC registered and BPS chartered Counselling Psychologist with a health research background and over nine years’ experience of working in charities and in the NHS. I follow the ethical codes of practice of both the BPS and the HCPC. I offer a pragmatic approach to psychological therapy using an integrative person-centred approach to help you work towards your therapeutic needs; I like to help people find their own ‘lightbulb’ moment. I mindfully use:
– Eye-Movement and Desensitization therapy (EMDR) – Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT) – Cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) – Brief psychodynamic therapy approaches
I offer individual therapy for young people and adults with physical and emotional trauma and low mood, including: complex PTSD, managing long-term health conditions – including persistent pain, Sickle Cell Disease & Thalassaemia, with grief and bereavement, adjusting to life-changing experiences, managing addictive and compulsive behaviours, improving confidence and self-esteem and working with adult survivors of childhood trauma and abuse.
Fees
I offer a sliding scale for individual therapy. I also offer clinical supervision to counselling and counselling psychology trainees. Please contact me by email for information about my fees.
